Weekend Rambling is where I discuss/rant/ramble about random things, bookish or non-bookish alike. Everyone's welcome to share their thoughts!
How's it going, you guys? What books have you recently added to your collection? I hope they're good! :) Speaking of bookish collection, today I'm going to share with you my own dream literary collection! Or rather, what books I'd love to add to my bookshelf. ;)
Invaluable.com invited me to browse their huge collection of books up for auction and see if there are ones I'd love to have. And oh boy, I found A LOT! So after browsing 7943 collectible books, maps and manuscripts, (whew! #:-S) I finally found a few ones that I think would be perfect for my collection. (It was really hard to pick just a few because there are really a lot of awesome finds at the website! Go visit Invaluable if you haven't yet!)
Invaluable is the world's largest live auction marketplace, making it easy for people to find what they love at auction.
Okay, so I haven't yet read any Jane Austen book, but it's never too late, right? I've only watched the Pride and Prejudice movie, but haven't read the book yet. This 6-volume Jane Austen collection would be perfect for everyone's library!
Nope, this one isn't for my little sister, because I also haven't read Peter Pan yet. (I know, don't kill me!) I only saw the Disney movie and loved it!
I also haven't read any of Stephen King's books, even though they're really popular. For one, I don't read a lot of horror. But a lot of people have been saying that his books are great and I'm a gullible earthling, so I've been wanting to try reading one of his books for so long. Is The Shining super scary? Should I try something else?
My curiosity about The Arabian Nights heightened after reading A Thousand Nights by E.K. Johnston. Also, this is a popular piece of literature and I feel like I'm missing out on something by not reading this.
Lot 151: Harry Potter Signed Book and Lot 276: Rowling, J.K. (b. 1965) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Signed Copy. London: Bloomsbury, . Stated first edition, signed
Of course, no collection of mine would be complete without Harry Potter! Granted, these are just books 2 and 4 and I'd love to have the whole set, but this is Harry Potter still! :D I've read the whole series, but I don't own physical copies yet.
There you have it! Those are some of the books I'd love to have on my own literary collection! It was fun browsing through Invaluable's humongous collection of books. And they don't only have books, they also have art pieces, jewelry, furniture and so much more! The website would definitely be heaven for antique lovers!
Have you already checked out Invaluable.com? Which ones did you like the most? It's your turn now to share what books would you love to add to your own dream collection! I'd love to know, book nerds! :D
