Howdy, nerds! How's your month so far? I hope you've had a wonderful and safe Fourth of July over the weekend! Last week I listed the top ten books I've read so far in 2015. This week, our TTT topic is:
Top Ten Hyped Books I've Never Read
This should be an easy one because there are LOTS of hyped books I haven't read. It's okay to include series, right? ^__^
Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James - I have never and probably will never read this trilogy. Just no, thanks. And now there's also Grey. God help us.
Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi - Eep! Gorgeous covers but ever since I've read somewhere that the main character is whiny, it sort of put me off. Maybe someday, though.
The Selection series by Keira Cass - see reason for Shatter Me ^
The Maze Runner trilogy by James Dashner - This one I wanted to read but I haven't had time yet. They say the movie's meh, though. Might have to see it for myself.
Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas - The hype surrounding these books intimidate me. I'm not much into high fantasy, but damn, this series sounds so delicious. Royal assassins, kick-ass heroine, romance? Sign me up!
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas - THIS BOOK! Yeah, I haven't read it yet. But I'm definitely getting to it before the year ends. I heard good things!
Paper Towns by John Green - Even with all the hype surrounding its upcoming movie adaptation, I still don't feel the urge to pick it up.
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven - I've been purposely avoiding this book because of the hype. I have a feeling this is going to break my heart. But like ACOTAR, of course I'm planning to read it this year.
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir - So much hype that it almost made me pick up this book. But recent DNF reviews around the blogosphere got me thinking twice. I still think it's interesting, but I don't see myself reaching for this book anytime soon.
Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli - Diversity for the win! I am soooo getting this!
