Reverse Thursday [#2] Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta

Reverse Thursday is a meme created by Ashley @ Bookaholics Anonymous Online that spotlights highly-anticipated books that have been out for a while.

This week's pick is:

Jellicoe Road

Author: Melina Marchetta
Genre: YA Contemporary
Published: March 9th 2010 by HarperTeen
In this lyrical, absorbing, award-winning novel, nothing is as it seems, and every clue leads to more questions.

At age eleven, Taylor Markham was abandoned by her mother. At fourteen, she ran away from boarding school, only to be tracked down and brought back by a mysterious stranger. Now seventeen, Taylor's the reluctant leader of her school's underground community, whose annual territory war with the Townies and visiting Cadets has just begun. This year, though, the Cadets are led by Jonah Griggs, and Taylor can't avoid his intense gaze for long. To make matters worse, Hannah, the one adult Taylor trusts, has disappeared. But if Taylor can piece together the clues Hannah left behind, the truth she uncovers might not just settle her past, but also change her future.

Jellicoe Road is one of my favorite books ever! I read this in 2013 and still I can't forget this book. It's heartbreaking and raw and just so darn amazing. This is also the second review I've posted in this blog. I am yet to read another of Marchetta's works, but I expect they're all equally awesome. Here's the link to my review of Jellicoe Road if you guys want to check it out. :)

Have you read this book? Whether you loved it or not, comment your thoughts below! And if you also have a Reverse Thursday post, feel free to leave your links! Happy Thursday! ^__^

Julie is a Filipina blogger who pretends she has insomnia so she can stay up late reading. When she's not buried in books, she can be found watching anime, drinking chocolate-flavored instant coffee, lurking on the internet, daydreaming and talking about herself in third person.
