Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

I've been tagged by Carmel from Carmel and Kyla for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. Thanks so much, Carmel! Hugs! ^__^

RULES:

1. Thank the blogger that nominated you and link back to their site
2. Post the award's logo on your blog
3. Answer the 10 questions you've been asked
4. Nominate 10 other bloggers and ask them 10 new questions. (You can skip this part if you did this tag already. But still, I would love to read your answers.)
Here are Carmel's questions:

1. What book/s do you think deserves more hype?
=> I think Before Ever After, The Naturals, The Book of Lost Things, Gameboard of the Gods and Sing Me to Sleep are some of the books that deserve more attention. They're some of my favorite books and are really good!

2. What book/s do you think is overrated?

3. What is your most-read book?
=> Oh, definitely the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series! I think I've read the entire series more than twice. :)

4. What book/s would you like to be a movie?
=> By default, I don't want any book I've read to be made into a movie because sometimes the movie gets murdered by producers and directors who don't know what they're doing. But because the book-to-movie adaptations I've seen this year were all great, it will also be good to see I'll Give You the Sun (the latest addition to my favorites) on screen. And of course, I'm also looking forward to Where She Went. Keeping my fingers crossed!

5. If you will get married to a celebrity, who would it be and why?
=> Tom Hiddleston (because Loki!)

6. What's the song of your life or a song that best describes you?

7. What do you want for Christmas?
=> Is this a trick question? Haha! Books, of course!

8. Who's your childhood (celebrity) crush?
=> None. Haha! I know, I'm such a bore.

9. If you were to meet your favorite fictional character, what would you say?
=> I'd probably won't be able to speak at all. Haha! I guess I'll just give them a hug and bawl my eyes out because of all the feels they've given me.

10. Your favorite dessert?
=> Anything sweet! ^__^

And here are my questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What are your favorite book-to-movie adaptations?
  3. Fifty Shades of Grey - love it or hate it?
  4. Books that annoyed the hell out of you.
  5. Who are some of your favorite authors?
  6. Do you eat snacks or listen to music while you read?
  7. How's your Goodreads Reading Challenge progress so far?
  8. Would you rather date a rock star or a Hollywood celebrity?
  9. How do you handle reading slumps?
  10. What's your favorite aspect of blogging?
I'm tagging these awesome people (only tagging 4 because it seems like everyone else already did this):

  1. Erika @ The Nocturnal Fey
  2. Laira @ Laira's Blog
  3. Alexis @ Alexis's Blog of Awesomeness
  4. Ailla @ Le Bibliophile
Enjoy! ^__^

Julie @ Books and Insomnia

Julie is a Filipina blogger who pretends she has insomnia so she can stay up late reading. When she's not buried in books, she can be found watching anime, drinking chocolate-flavored instant coffee, lurking on the internet, daydreaming and talking about herself in third person. She loves purple and anything sweet!

  1. Thanks for all these recs: Before Ever After, The Naturals, The Book of Lost Things, Gameboard of the Gods and Sing Me to Sleep. And I would definitely avoid these: The Fallen series, Michael Vey series and Towering. Hehe. I should have been specific on the Q7. My bad!

    Ill answer some of your questions:
    Fifty Shades of Grey - love it or hate it? HATE!!! STRONG HATE!!!
    Books that annoyed the hell out of you. Ugly Love
    Who are some of your favorite authors? Nikki Kelly, Katie Brauning, Jaye Robin Brown, Natalie D. Richards to name a few.
    Do you eat snacks or listen to music while you read? Listen to Joshua Radin songs.
    What's your favorite aspect of blogging? I get to fangirl about books I love! I get to interact with all the amazing authors!

    1. What! Why did you find Ugly Love annoying? I've been reading great things about the book. >.< Haven't read it yet but I'm looking forward to.

      I can feel your hate for Fifty Shades of Grey, Carmel. Your CAPS LOCK SAYS IT ALL. Haha! :)

  2. RE: Ugly Love. I had issues with the girl MC. She knew what she signed up for but she was so demanding GRRR! But I loved Maybe, Someday and Hopeless!

    RE: Fifty Shades. I read bits and pieces of it. Gah! THE GUY HAS ISSUES! (BURN!!!)

    1. I'm currently reading Maybe Someday and so far, I'm loving it! It's the only Colleen Hoover book I've read yet. I'd probably read Ugly Love but not in the immediate future. :)

      I haven't read Fifty Shades at all. Even bits and pieces of it! Haha! I was already turned off by the negative reactions to it.
