Charlie’s the kind of boy that no one notices. Hell, even his own mother can’t remember his name. And girls? The invisible man gets more dates. As if that weren’t enough, when a mysterious clockwork man tries to kill him in modern day Philadelphia, and they tumble through a hole into 1725 London, Charlie realizes even the laws of time don’t take him seriously.Still, this isn’t all bad. In fact, there’s this girl, another time traveler, who not only remembers his name, but might even like him! Unfortunately, Yvaine carries more than her share of baggage: like a baby boy and at least two ex-boyfriends! One’s famous, the other’s murderous, and Charlie doesn’t know who is the bigger problem. When one kills the other — and the other is nineteen year-old Ben Franklin — things get really crazy. Can their relationship survive? Can the future? Charlie and Yvaine are time travelers, they can fix this — theoretically — but the rules are complicated and the stakes are history as we know it.And there's one more wrinkle: he can only travel into the past, and she can only travel into the future!

“I guess life is more about who you’re with than where – or when – you are.”-Charlie
Fantasy, steampunk, historical and science fiction rolled into one, UNTIMED is a fast-paced and action-packed tale that will appeal to readers of all ages.
I’m such a sucker for good time travel stories so reading this book was such a fun experience for me. It is enjoyable and exciting. The characters are both funny and clever, even in the most desperate times. I like Charlie’s ability to adapt to different situations, time and places. He wasn’t aware at first of his time traveling abilities but he managed to survive every timeline he was in and made the most out of it. Yvaine was one feisty heroine. I like her guts and sass. She’s smart in her own right and I admired her for making such a big sacrifice. The way she speaks was a bit confusing, though, being a Scottish girl born in the past and all. But it’s easy to understand her language once you get the hang of it.
The idea of different timelines is really interesting. It also shows that everything we do may have a large scale effect, even though we may not be aware of it now. The pace of the story is okay. I enjoyed following Charlie and Yvaine through their hops. I especially like the idea that normal people have a hard time recognizing and remembering time travelers. They can’t be photographed or sketched. It’s like the universe is making them anonymous. Very interesting. The ending is also great. There’s a twist in the end that will make you look forward to the next book. Just when you think everything’s already okay, the big surprise smacks you in the face. I was honestly surprised when I got to the ending. Now I’m excited to read more of Charlie’s and Yvaine’s adventures.
