TOP TEN TUESDAY [#1] Series I'd Like To Start But Haven't Yet

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Here we list our top ten picks for a certain topic. This week's topic is:

Top Ten Series I'd Like To Start But Haven't Yet

We all have those series that we want to read but for some reason, they just sit on our shelves untouched. Maybe we haven't found the time to start them yet or we get sidetracked by new releases. Whatever the reason, we get a bit guilty and frustrated that we haven't read them yet, right? So this is the time to list your top ten of those series. Here are my picks:

1. Bloodlines by Richelle Mead
I know! I should have started this series long ago but I love Rose and Dimitri and Adrian so much that I don't want to read Sidney's story yet. *le sigh*

2. Sookie Stackhouse by Charlaine Harris
Another vampire series that I'd like to read. Only, when I remember how many books there are in this series, I get exhausted already.

3. Fifty Shades by E.L. James
I've read a lot of feedback about this series, a lot of them negative. But still, I'd like to see for myself what the fuss is all about.

4. Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
I love adventure! And it helps that this is a completed series. No more waiting for next books! Yipee!

5. Caster Chronicles by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
Okay, the fact that it's made into a movie boosted my curiousity. And I can't watch the film without reading the books first so...

6. Angels of the Dark by Gena Showalter
I love love Gena Showalter! Enough said.

7. Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
Another dystopian read I'm curious about.

8. The Hollows by Kim Harrison
Witches and vampires and demons and other paranormal creatures in one book? Now, that sounds interesting.

9. The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott
Because Nicholas Flamel is Albus Dumbledore's friend. Need I say more? LOL

10. Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness
A lot of people have been gushing about how great this series is, that's why I'm so excited to read this. Er, probably after I tackled the 100+ books on my TBR pile.

So there you have it, folks! Those are the top ten series I'd like to start but haven't yet. How about you? What series are you dying to read?

Julie @ Books and Insomnia

Julie is a Filipina blogger who pretends she has insomnia so she can stay up late reading. When she's not buried in books, she can be found watching anime, drinking chocolate-flavored instant coffee, lurking on the internet, daydreaming and talking about herself in third person. She loves purple and anything sweet!

  1. Great list! I haven't read any of those either!

  2. AH! I forgot about Uglies, I want to read that too. Bloodlines seems to be on many peoples list this morning. (mine included) I hope you get to read these awesome books this year!

    1. Yeah, Bloodlines is a popular pick. Maybe because of a certain vampire? *cough*Adrian*cough* LOL
Thanks, Jen! Hopefully I'll get to read those books soon. And then I'll have another set of series to start. Haha..

  3. Nice list. My husband dared me to read the Fifty Shades trilogy. I haven't yet but maybe one day. I've heard Artemis Fowl series is good.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  4. Great list. I would like to read Bloodlines as well!!

I think people love or hate 50 shades. I haven't seen too many reviews that are in between. I have the same curiosity about that series. I just want to know what everyone is talking about.

  5. Te only on the list I actually have started is the Sookie Stackhouse series. I'm only two books in I think but so far I have been entertained! Happy Reading!

    1. Thanks! I probably should start Sookie Stackhouse soon. :)

  6. I keep seeing Chaos Walking on a lot of lists. I guess that means I ought to read them! Great list, the Sookie Stackhouse books are a lot of fun.

    Here's my Top Ten.

    1. Really? Now I'm more excited to read them! Thanks! :)

  7. Thanks for visiting my TTT! Fun list, I've been wanting to read Artemis Fowl as well and should read the Uglies.

  8. I enjoyed the first oh 6 or so Sookie Stackhouse books and then that series kinda took a nosedive, but the first few are quite excellent (the fourth is my favorite!)
I loved the Fifty Shades series, but I went in to it with zero expectation and took it for what it was!
I also want to read the Chaos Walking series!
Great list and thanks for stopping by my blog :)

  9. Very nice list! I really liked the Sookie series, I loved Bloodlines and Fifty Shades, and I really want to read Caster Chronicles and Uglies.
